LOUIS VUITTON ARCHITECTURE

LV Global store, Roppongi, JAPAN.

Openning september 2003.

The Roppongi project represents an important evolution in LV design, where the architecture strives to more directly respond to the changes inherent in fashion. The facade is composed of over 20,000 parallel glass tubes arranged as a moumental pixelized screen. The resulting two directional visual vacuum produces an ambguous mirage effect. The initial design for the interior, provoked by the active nightlife of Roppongi, overlays bar, lounge and disco typologies onto the traditional retail functions.
Conception of lounge area, pen display, bags bar, furnitures, textil wall and design of the Watches-Jewelleries space. Last one has been incorporated on the store design guide.
